Trust & Data Security

How PromoteSense handles your business data, social connections and contacts

PromoteSense connects to your social accounts and stores your business details and contact lists so it can post and broadcast on your behalf. This page explains, honestly, what we hold, how it is protected, and where your data goes when AI or WhatsApp is involved. It reflects how the platform actually works today.

What data we collect

Isolation — who can see your data

PromoteSense is multi-tenant, and every data query is scoped to your account. Records are read and written with your account ID and portal ID as filters, so one account's portals, contacts, content and connections are not visible to another account. When you operate several portals, data is further separated per portal.

How your social tokens are stored

When you connect a social account, the access token and any API keys are stored server-side in our database so PromoteSense can post on your behalf, and they are transmitted only over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. These token values are not shown back in the interface — the settings screen lists which platforms are connected and when, but does not display the secret values.

Data in transit

Traffic between your browser and PromoteSense, and between PromoteSense and the third-party APIs it calls, uses HTTPS/TLS.

How AI processes your data

PromoteSense uses third-party AI providers to generate content. Text content (social posts, blogs, ad copy, outreach) is generated using Google's Gemini API (Gemini 2.5 models) and, as an alternative copywriting engine, Anthropic's Claude API. Marketing images are generated through Google's image models via the same Gemini API. When you generate something, the relevant inputs (your prompt and brand details) are sent to the provider's API and the result is returned to you.

WhatsApp broadcasting — what Meta receives

WhatsApp broadcasts are sent through the official WhatsApp Business Cloud API, provided by Meta. This means that when you send a broadcast, the message content and the recipient phone numbers are transmitted to Meta's WhatsApp API in order to deliver the messages — this is inherent to using WhatsApp, and those recipients and messages are subject to Meta's WhatsApp Business terms and policies. You are responsible for having permission to message the contacts you upload.

What we never do

PromoteSense does not sell your data, and there is no mechanism in the platform that shares or exposes your contact lists or content to other accounts. Your contacts are used to send the messages you choose to send, and for nothing else.

Data deletion

To delete your account and its associated data — portals, contacts, content and social connections — email support@promotesense.in and we will process the request.
